Bathroom Awakening

In the first post in our #interiordesign bathroom series, we share some ideas on how to awaken a tired bathroom using stunning shower solutions.  This post is intended to be read on its own or as part of the full series, covering sanitary ware, baths, taps, bathroom furniture, heating options, designing with tiles, lighting and accessories.

Preparation

It’s important to consider your household when planning your bathroom re-design.  Thinking about who will use the space, frequency and how it will be used, will help you to plan and maximise the sanitary ware and bathroom furniture to showcase your space.  It’s also the best way to ensure that you have a space that is practical as well as aesthetically pleasing.

Types of shower selections

Make use of the space you have, by using a recess to house your shower if you have one, this might currently be an unused recess or an unused bathroom cupboard that you could adapt to house your shower.  This option could allow you to select a more glamorous door as, the costs are less than if you have a non recessed space and are not intending to use your space as a wet room.

If you’ve always wanted a shower enclosure, Bathroom Heaven have a wide selection for all budgets.  Shower enclosures, are a great way to maximise bathroom space, particularly if you have a large or extended family, as your bathroom space needs to work harder.  Enclosures come in various shapes and sizes making them versatile and dramatic in any space.  Their versatility is what makes them so appealing in bathroom designs.

Showers are also popular when used in a Wet room and are often very effective when accommodated downstairs as an additional feature.
